MEET OUR COACHES

Ray Meadows, Co-Head Men's Varsity Coach
 

The Campolindo Men’s Water Polo program is fortunate to welcome the return of Ray Meadows this season.  Ray attended and played water polo at UCSB and was an All-American in water polo at De la Salle High School in his senior year.  He was also selected to the all - NCS team twice and selected to the All-League team three times.  He graduated from UCSB in 2001 with a degree in economics and is currently teaching World History and Govt./ Econ at Campolindo.  Ray worked as the assistant coach for the De la Salle High School Water polo  team before becoming the head coach of the Campolindo Men’s Water polo program in 2003.  Ray looks forward to a successful season.

Bob Berry, Men’s Varsity Ass't Coach

After playing four years of water polo at St. Francis high school, Bob Berry graduated in May of 2004, and attended Regis University in Denver, CO for one year before  transferring to St. Mary's College. Now in his senior year at St. Mary's.  Bob will be leading his own St. Mary's water polo team while assisting to coach the varsity boys team at Campolindo. Bob is a communication major at St. Mary's, and enjoys reading and watching basketball in his free time.

Dan Reyes, Men’s Junior Varsity Coach

Dan Reyes started his water polo days at Calabasas High School in Calabasas, CA. After graduating from there, he spent a short 6 months in Southlake, TX where he coached the Carroll High School Boys Water Polo team and a local city swim team. Dan then returned to California to attend Cal, where he studied immunology and infectious diseases. While at Cal he founded the Cal Water Polo Club, a competitive, co-ed team open to the entire campus community. A recent Cal graduate, Dan has relocated to Moraga where he will enter his first year coaching the Campo JV Boys. He is very excited to start at Campo and looks forward to a great season. Dan currently teaches biology and physiology at Far West High School in Oakland and has also taught chemistry at Oakland Technical High School.

 

 

Kim Everist, Women's Varsity Coach

Started coaching in 1993 as an assistant coach for American HS in Miami, Florida. At the time, I was also an assistant coach for a USS swim program located also in Miami, Florida. In 1996 I moved to California, and 1997 started coaching at Miramonte HS. I coached with Golden Bear Water Polo since 1997 as a head coach of several age groups and recently we joined clubs with Lamorinda Water Polo where I currently hold the position of Women’s Director and I am the Head Coach of the 18 and under team. In 98’ I became the Head Varsity Coach at MHS and with that won league 98 and 99, NCS in 98’. In 97, 98 I started working with the Pacific Zone teams and was the Head Coach for the California State Games. 98’ and 99’ I was the Assistant Pacific Zone Coach. 2000 and 2001 I became the Head Pacific Zone Coach. In 2001 I started working with the USA Water Polo National Team. I was the Team Leader for the 01’ World Championship team which won the gold medal in Perth, Australia. In 2001I also became the Assistant Coach for the USA National Youth Team. For the 2004-05 seasons worked as the Volunteer Assistant coach for the University of California- GO BEARS!! In 2003 I became the Assistant Coach for the USA National Junior Team, which is a position I currently hold. In 2004 we won the gold medal at the Junior Pan American Games in El Salvador and in 2005 we won the gold medal at the Junior World Championships again in Perth, Australia. Currently we are preparing for the 2007 World Championships which will be held next summer in Portugal. I have been teaching at Miramonte HS since 1998, currently teaching World and US History. I am married to Kirk Everist and I have a wonderful dog named Nala.
